A country void of Human right is
deemed for destruction, Insecurity, social vices and corruption at large. In
the western world like Mexico, there are recent lots of social vices recorded,
that is totally against human right. Human trafficking is one of them and
followed by Rape and child Abuse.
A lot of youth are highly molested
through human trafficking; one of the victim in the CNN News as a survivor narrated
her ordeal saying that she had been raped
43,200 times, that sounds funny but according to her she left her people
in china when she was tender and ran away with her boy friend because of early
marriage tradition of her people. On arrival to Mexico, her boy friend that
brought her to Mexico then used her to make money through prostitution. On the
process she was abused both by her boy friend and other people that approached
her for the business. Apart from Mexico other part of the world had similar cases like
that of a teenage named CARMEN was once a victim, according to her she was forced by three brother to have sex
with not less than 60 men a day in Connecticut, New Jersey and New York. According
to her she said she was upset because her tormentor hadn’t killed her, that he
will beat her to nearly death when she refused to comply. This radical uncontrolled
vice among young people demands human right law to prosecute the offender and
bring the culprits to book.
On the other
hand is child abuse which has similar events recorded in the same Mexico. A
girl of 19 years seriously maltreated by family of seven who engaged her
services after discovering that she was a stranger to the country. According to
her sad story, she was humiliated badly by the woman that employed her services
at her home, whom she took as mother. The victim said that sometimes she will
go on seven days working without food to the extent that she always drink water
from the iron she uses to press the family’s clothes while performing her duty.
The woman that employed her service nagged against her and subjected her to ill
treatment by using big chain to chain her to a seat at a particular position
right inside the house so that she can’t escape.
One day she unchained
her and left, she quickly escaped through the door out of the building running
straight on a street when she met a human right activist who saw her horrible condition
right on the street. According to the Human Right Activist, she said that the
young teenager face was filled with bruises, sores on her body and scares of
healed wound all over her face. And she quickly took over the case by asking
her questions and she narrated her side of story.
Today this same
girl has changed because Human right took over her case and sentences the seven
members of the family to 40 years imprisonment for maltreatment, child Abuse
and neglect. So let us all in one accord join hands to promote Human Right in
Nigeria and different part of the world
