THE NEED TO DOCUMENT HUMAN RIGHT ABUSE AND VIOLENCE CASES IN NIGERIA

The Amnesty international warns Surveillance security Agencies in civil society groups to always ensure proper documentation of cases of Human Right Abuses and Violence in the Country. It was presented by the Amnesty International MR ATTAH IKEDI who made the call in Abuja Nigeria, at the presentation of cases of Human Right abuses in the 2015 – 2016 Governorship election in Bayelsa State Nigeria.

According to reporter from Abuja who said that the presentation of the document was part of effort to prevent the reoccurrence of crises in the future election in the country. MR ATTAH IKEDI identifies lack of proper documentation as a little challenge to carry out investigation by cases of violence in the country. According to MR ATTAH IKEDI who also specified that it has been a long time he witnessed similar cases in his endeavor and said that why the Amnesty international will not take up some of the cases of Human Right in the country is because things are not well researched, he said that there should be proves and evidences of every cases of abuses well documented, and that if the cases are well researched and reported as well as have visible evidences, that Amnesty will always ensure the end of the cases.

The secretary of the Collection of Civil Society Group, MR. OLUFEMI LAWSON said over 600 couples were displaced in some communities during the Bayelsa State governorship election due to election violence. According to MR. OLUFEMI LAWSON, he said that there are distresses in Bayelsa state in Nigeria, and he said that being the only South-South and South-East zone with the IDP Camps which some military had been taken over and occupied by criminals. He also called for the prosecution of the perpetrators of the crises in the country to appeal to political leaders to educate their supporters on ill portal of peace for National development in the country.
