CAMPAIGN AGAINST CHILD ABUSE


The environment against persons provisions act enacted last year 2015 by the Nigerian National Assembly is aimed at preventing all forms of abuse of persons and private and public life. It provide maximum protection and effectively for victims and punishment of offenders, with the excite on the cases of Abuse and Rape of Children, the National Secretary of International Federation of Women Lawyer FIBA MRS. RHODA THEODORA  said the objective of the campaign is to educate children on how to identify these abuses and report them to appropriate authorities.

 The National Publicity Secretary of FIBA CHRISTIAN FRANCHISCA CHUKWUANI  who spoke on the child like act outlined some of the allegation of children under the law: according  to her she said a child have to know that their mother and father provide for them and as a result, they have to be responsible and obedient. Also the principal of Junior Secondary school Life Camp Abuja, Nigeria MRS. VICTORIA ELONU said the teachers has been instructed to correct students with Law, Order and other corporal punishment.

Some of the students are Emmanueller Oyene and Master Jotory Chibuzo said he had been well informed that their right and according to the little kids they said that they have well understood their right as a good citizens of Nigeria that whenever they are being abused or molested by any person or adult, that they will not relent in reporting to any available responsible elderly persons or their parents.  So that when the person is reported to the police, we can have evidence. Other side attractions at the FIBA sensitization program include: the Drama Presentation by the students of the school and violent against person provision act
